About Cabaret Fuc?


Cabaret Fuc? is a musical tragicomedy. It had its première in November, 2016 and has already been performed in 25 cities all over Brazil. The show discusses depression, women′s rights, internet anxiety and bullying based on the ideas of Michel Foucault. The characters were inspired by the popular 1930 freak circus, such as the bullet man, the clown, the bearded woman, the double-faced woman, the decadent clown, the magician, among others. They interact and entertain the audience for 90 minutes, making them laugh and think about their own lives.


About Rodolfo García Vázquez


Rodolfo García Vázquez, Master of Performing Arts at ECA / University of Sao Paulo, founded the Satyros Theater Company together with Ivam Cabral in 1989. Their artistic project has always been based on radical freedom of both themes and aesthetics. Settled at Pra?a Roosevelt, in S?o Paulo′s centre, the company was considered responsible for the huge renovation of the area, through its social and artistic projects. Vázquez was also one of the founders of SP Escola de Teatro in 2009, the largest drama school in the country, with over 2,000 students per year. He has performed in 15 countries and won prizes in Brazil and abroad. In 2013, both artists were responsible for the foundation of Satyros Cinema. They have launched two feature films: Hypothesis for Love and Truth (2014) and Philosophy in the Boudoir (2017).

About Os Satyros Theater Company


Os Satyros Theater Company was founded in S?o Paulo in 1989 by Ivam Cabral and Rodolfo García Vázquez. In the first years, they produced acclaimed performances such as Sades ou Noites com os Professores Imorais (1990) and Saló, Salomé (1991) and became well known all over the country. In 1992, they were invited to several festivals in Europe and decided to move to Lisbon (Portugal). In the European period, they produced several shows (De Profundis, 1993; Sappho de Lesbos, 1995 and Woyzeck, 1997). In 2000, Os Satyros went back to S?o Paulo and opened their venue at Pra?a Roosevelt, considered to be one of the most dangerous areas in downtown, with criminality, prostitution and drug dealing. In a few years, due to the company′s social and theatrical work, the area radically changed and became safe, becoming the main cultural point of the Brazilian metropolis, with theaters, cafés and other cultural spaces. The company is also responsible for the largest free arts festival in Brazil, with more than 300 shows presented in four days in the Springtime, in a Theater Carnival that brings together over 50,000 spectators and 1,000 artists.
